Belknap Mill Society Artist-in-Residence

Larry Frates, Belknap Mill Artist in Residence Artist-in-Residence Larry Frates, founder of Frates Creates in Laconia, continues to create and introduce quality programming to the Belknap Mill. Larry brings 45 years’ experience as an arts educator in public schools, higher education institutions and at community arts centers. He has collaborated in statewide, national and global art projects, and was a New Hampshire Humanities Council finalist for Teacher of the Year. Larry exhibits his artwork internationally.

In 2018, Larry and the soon to be established Belknap Mill Cultural Committee will be focused on re-introducing the much loved Arts Alive program back to the Mill. Collaborating with local art teachers in elementary schools throughout the Lakes Region, Kaleidoscope will be showcasing student art in direct relation to the history of the Belknap Mill!
